Update 01
Project Foundation

Team, Website, and Sponsor Materials Created

Progress: We have established the team, created the project website, built the sponsor proposal, and started organizing the materials needed for outreach to local businesses, auto shops, and individual supporters.

Why it matters: Before buying a car or starting the build, we want the project to be organized, transparent, and easy for sponsors to understand. This gives supporters a clear view of who we are, what we are building, and how their support will be used.

Next step: Begin direct sponsor outreach, continue improving the website, and build a list of potential shop partners, parts donors, and community supporters.

Current Stage
Fundraising

Sponsor Outreach and Funding Push

Focus: Our current priority is raising the funding needed to purchase the car, begin safety preparation, and move from planning into the build phase.

What we are looking for: We are seeking financial sponsors, donated parts, fabrication support, mechanical guidance, and shop services such as inspections, welding, alignment, tire mounting, and brake work.

How support helps: Sponsorship funds will be prioritized toward safety, reliability, and race-readiness before performance upgrades.

Vehicle Search

Race Car Platform Search Begins

What happens next: Once initial funding is secured, we will begin searching for a suitable endurance racing platform. We are looking for a car that is affordable, reliable, easy to work on, and realistic to prepare for a long-distance race.

Selection priorities: Safety, reliability, parts availability, repair cost, endurance potential, and overall budget control.

Why it matters: Choosing the right car is one of the most important early decisions. A smart platform choice will help us spend sponsor money responsibly and avoid unnecessary build costs later.

Next Milestone
Build Phase

Preparing for Safety and Reliability Work

Planned work: After purchasing the car, the first major build priorities will be safety equipment, roll cage preparation, brakes, tires, cooling, reliability maintenance, and basic systems inspection.

Team approach: We are treating this as a real engineering and logistics challenge, not just a race entry. Every major decision will be based on safety, budget, reliability, and whether it moves the project closer to Thunderhill.

Documentation: We plan to continue posting updates so sponsors can see how their support directly contributes to the build.
